We provide tested and certified quality. Fenestra is the first Finnish
window supplier with a certified ISO 9001quality system. Our Finnish
window factories are located in Forssa and Kuopio. Our Finnish products
have been tested in research institutes in several countries. Fenestra
also has a window factory in Tallinn, Estonia.
We are pathfinders in window development. Fenestra is engaged in
continuous research and development with the goal of achieving more
durable, ecological and energy-efficient construction.
We have solid experience in challenging international construction
projects. In addition to Finland, Fenestra has provided windows
for several large international projects. Our primary export markets
include the Baltic countries, Russia and other CIS countries, as
well as Poland, Japan and Turkey. Fenestra's subsidiary company,
AS Fenestra, is one of the largest window manufacturers in Estonia.
Fenestra's net sales in 2000 was FIM 402 million, the export and
foreign business portion of which was 10 %. We have nearly 720 professionals
working on the Fenestra team producing about 310 000 window units
yearly.
Fenestra is part of the Paloheimo Group, which is a diversified
family enterprise founded on 1889. Fenestra was born in 1992 as
a result of the merger between Paloheimo's and Rakennustoimisto
A. Puolimatka's window divisions. In 1997 Fenestra was placed completely
under Paloheimo ownership.
